For me, doing my nails is more than just beauty. It has become that small moment when I step away from the rush of everyday life, disconnect, and give myself some time. I believe that even the smallest acts of self-care can shift how we feel — making us feel better, more confident, and closer to ourselves.

My story in the nail industry didn't start with a business plan — it started out of necessity. Being a mom with a schedule that didn't always let me get to the salon, and often unhappy with the result when I did, I started looking for a solution of my own. I wanted well-groomed, beautiful nails, so I began learning to do them myself, at home.

What started out of necessity turned into a passion, then into a craft, and today, into more than 7 years of experience in the nail industry.

Doing my nails at home saved me time and money, but most of all, it gave me freedom. I can organize my time around my life and enjoy more time with my son. And today, I still work from home as a nail technician.

Magic Box by Melanie was born from one thought: if I could learn, other women can too.

I created it for women who want to do their own nails at home — exactly the way they want, whenever they want — without trips to the salon and without feeling like they need to be experts to start.

I wanted to create what I wish I'd had at the beginning: the right products, guidance, clear explanations, and above all, the confidence that they can do it themselves too.

Because Magic Box isn't just about nails.

It's about the woman who wants a few moments for herself. About the mom who doesn't want to lose time on the road. About the girl who has ever looked at a set of nails and thought, “I'd love to be able to do that too.”

And it's about that wonderful feeling you get when you look at what you've created and tell yourself:

“I made this.”

And if my story began out of necessity, today I'm grateful that need brought me here — to the point where I can pass on what I've learned over all these years, and help you become your own nail tech too. 💅🏻🤍
